As a prospective tenant your first step is to register with Liv ‘N’ Let and find a suitable property with our on line property search. When you have found the right property we will need proof of your identity and references from your previous landlord and possibly from your employer. Depending on your circumstances we may also run a credit check and ask for guarantee for the rent from a third party.
Step 3 is to sign a tenancy agreement between you and the landlord. This is normally for a shorthold tenancy of six months with an option to extend the tenancy at the end of the first six months.
You will be asked for deposit and the first months rent. As required by law this will be held in deposit protection scheme accredited by the government.
